I have just purchased UK dails for my import which arrived in Southampton 15 May.

 

It appears to be a good option?

 

My requested help/advice is, do I need todo anything else? Just plug in the connectors?

(KPH to MPH dials 180mph)

depends on year of your car and year of ones you have bought

As redbaron says there may be some small differences, for example when I installed mine, the rear fog light was illuminated instead of the seat belt light. Any issues should be an easy fix though and should definitely not put you off installing them, a very worthwhile mod.

Thanks for that, I also need to sort out a rear fog light & like the idea of utilising the inner brake lights good.

I dont like the idea of an add on rear fog.

I personally don't like the use of the inner tail lights for rear fogs, it takes away the nice wide lighting effect that compliments the oem design. You're much better off converting one the the reverse light bulbs in my opinion. I do this only for mot purposes and revert back to both reverse lights for the rest of the year (although I don't use mine throughout the winter on the very small occasions when it 'may' be necessary in this country to use them!).

Ok, so do I run a wire from the reverse light to the fog light switch on my dash & earth it?

Then change the bulb for a 21w red bulb.

You need a simple illuminated rocker switch, the power source for mine is the sidelight circuit, so therefore cannot come on without these being on first, second spade connector is of course grounded and the other goes to the rear to run your 21w red bulb which you'll need to splice in and/or have spades here to connect if you want a temporary set up like Joely suggests or has.

 

Do not forget you must use the o/s chamber to meet MOT regs if going for that single red bulb.
