just wondering how much you guy have spend on you 300 on mods and just keeping it going I suspect many people wont want to say, the z is very good at emptying your bank account that I do know.

Very low so far boot lid rear spoiler wheels and tyres a bit of welding on the near side sill for mot comes to £270:thumbup:

 

But with a reshell coming up big expense on the way:scared:

I think by the time am done I will be into it for 24k easy

Im in around £8000 in and still not finished yet . Around another £5000 will get me up and running:drool:.Then other mods to come will put me in around £18000:(

my cost is the labour I will be paying for for engine out and rebuild but will talk about that when I have all the bit you was just going to do the manual swap but am going with engine out now and rebuild so will be coming you way in the next few months

Including buying it and paint £800, but that will be going up very soon

Mine owes me about 7-8 thousand to date but with a repaint and remap on the cards its going to be nearer £10K

seem we are very honest on here did not think people would admit how much they have wasted sorry ment spent :sweatdrop:

£10'000 ish, if I went on piston heads with £10 grand I would not have a car I like or trust as much.

I say 24k due to major engine rebuild big turbos camshafts head work engine bore ect dam the z game isn't keep if you want a really nice car

to many thousands i not saying.

As of right now, maybe £1200 including maintenance over 2.5 years which includes acquiring the car in the first place.

 

It's worth a great deal more though, as a lot of time & expertise has gone into it. Cheapest 12s car I've ever built by far.

Spare shell 1 manual conversion 600,

Spare shell 3 for body for the last reshell a few yrs ago now scrap 300,

Spare shell 4 I bought decided I didn't like flared arches think was about 400,

Spare shell 5 the one I have now, by the time it was transported home 300,

Wheels 500,

Turbo technics, turbos stage 2 reconditioned lasted about a month about 750,

Gt2560 turbos 750,

Wiesco pistons think 350/400,

Eagle rods think 200/250,

Denso injectors think 350/400,

Downpipes think 150,

Wheels still in boxes in my bloody house 500,

2 shells stripped by me resprayred everywhere including engine bay etc,

And 2 just blown over probably about 4000,

Na rear end 250,

Strut brace 100,

Powder coated plenum 100,

Led rear lights and panel took off after about a week I think about 400,

Uprated radiator 100,

Uprated oil cooler about 70,

I have spent way too much on a write off NA... I dont want to think too much about it but I might do a list later.

Some of the bits I have have been on all three slicktops I have owned so as historical costs they arnt too bad.

Typical is my carbon fibre prop. It was about £900 I think but that was maybe 8 years ago.

Then again I have had some bargains. Got a new TT fidanza flywheel on Ebay for £100... in my home town.

Then I bought a clutch for it at £400.

I think I might stop now ........i feel ill:scared:

my last slicktop about £25,000 and it went bang and spend about £10,000 on my vert over 3 yrrs

I had spent way more than I had planned on mine, was in it for around £18k.

Best money I have ever spent for smiles to the pound. Wish I still had it :-(

2k just for amps and speakers :) 10k for bits and pieces :)

I stopped counting after the first year, had it 7 years and have another as well, so as i dont go out clubbing or drinking or gambling anymore its probably a cheaper hobby than id wasted money on before :thumbup:
