SWB rolling shell value

Ok, if I was so inclined to buy one, what would a solid SWB targa rolling shell be worth please?

Featured Replies

It would depend what it was rolling with - what suspension, wheels, quality of interior.

Also general shell condition.

Anything from £1k - £3k would be my guess.

I wouldn't especially care about the interior (for obvious reasons) or an engine or box. It'd need to be a roller and a solid shell, that's all.

I'm just bouncing ideas around in my head at the moment, matey :)

I paid £250 for my LWB from a local breakers, that was with no engine, gearbox, ECU, radiator, exhaust system, wheels, bonnet, bumpers, front or rear lights, or indicators.

It came with front and rear subframe, diff, suspension, brakes, interior (though shabby), seats, carpets, and even a rear strut brace. Also some interesting sun glasses I use to this day.

More imporatantly, it was free from rot! Excellent deal I thought.

Pics can be seen, if you follow the top link below.

I practically paid £700 for everything but the engine, manual box not auto, n/a running gear. Not that expensive tbh. Did have some rusty bits though.

I paid £400 for my LWB shell, had everything but the auto gearbox. Had an engine in it, but was told it had a bottom End knock, but I never tried to get it going as I've got a good engine. I've had it in storage for 5 years so far, but the shell has no rust anywhere
