After many an issue with the so called classified system we have taken onboard the memberships advise and have scrapped it completely with no chance of return :)

 

In its place we have decided to revert to a more simple system.

 

The idea with the specialy built system was to help the mods and membership protect the the right of sale when things go wrong; but as you all know it hasn't worked out.

 

Back to the old (newer) system :

 

Back with avengence is the old post what you want or are selling along with pictures and the thread stays contained as a discussion until sold.

 

Tested and working again with a few additions as follows :

 

PreFix : Selling, Breaking or Wanted

 

Category : Selecting your current group shows some extra options that may or may not be required.

 

As a 'Registered user' wanting to post a wanted thread it is now a requirment to add your contact details or the thread will not be allowed to post.

 

These details are protected and only committee will be allowed to view them.

 

Everything else should be as normal.

I liked it better when it was just a for sale section and a wanted section. Just been having a look at its just a big mess IMO for people looking through.

Don't understand why you think its a big mess unless you are looking at the old system,

There is only 4 categories to choose from and 3 prefixes when you post a new thread.

 

That and there is less than ten threads in total in the new system.

 

From new posts we can clearly identify what selling, breaking or wanted.

 

I've merged the three main type of threads into prefixes simply to give them a better opportunity to be seen.

The changes were made when members complained about the old system. Then the new system was to complicated so due to members. Feedback we have changed it back to the old system with some upgrades. Jaikai has spent a lot of his time trying to help our members get the best format for buying and selling. I think this is the best way to try and do our best for our members. Its better to be proactive and change systems rather than do nothing.

No worries Birdy all feedback is looked at mate and a reminder to all members we do what we can in what little spare time we have and Jaikai is one of the busiest member on this forum working behind the scene's.

I haven't really used the system much but can see Lee's dedication to it, it is also obvious with things like V bulletin updates and the Garage system he is working hard, often at 2am so as not to disrupt forum operations.
