Does anybody know the colour code for the non-metallic black paint used on early Zeds please??

As my car was originally silver, I can't get it off the plates under the bonnet and Body Mech need to know it...

Thanks.

Early JDM cars were metallic black. UK cars were solid black and there are two codes for those, GL1 and KH3. I believe GL1 appeared on series 2 or 3 JDM Z32s also. KH3 is slightly later later and also a solid black. Depends on where the car was from and what year/series it was.

Thanks for that, Si. What's the difference(s) between GL1 and KH3...?

easiest thing is to send them your fuel filler cover so they can match

Shade. I think the later KH3 is slightly darker. Don't quote me on that though, but they are different shades.

Hi mines a 91 jdm black my paint code is 732 if that helps

That's diamond black pearl (a metallic colour). Mondo is after solid blacks only.

I've gone with GL1 based on some info that Ted fired my way. Let's hope it's a match (or I'll have to get the whole car resprayed sooner than expected...! )...
