Passed again this morning woohoo. Car has been off road for the winter so was good to get back in her!

Feels so much quicker to the point of being scared when booting it, and having to take it easy with the throttle.

One advisory slight play in rear hicas ball joint. He did state it was very slight and not a great deal of difference to the other side which was solid.

Just had mine done after winter layup!!!

It passed after a light tinker with beam adjustment! I always sit and worry before an MOT despite knowing the car is up-together. It was great today as all the mechanics downed tools and wandered out to have a look at it, even while it was having its MOT done, 3 of them stood there and chatted about it. Every single one of them came up and told me how nice it was. It was then after driving it back that I realised how glad I am that I've kept this car for so bloody long!

If I'd gone in there with a 911, or XK8 or something of a similar ilk, I bet they wouldn't have battered an eye lid. These cars are still such a talking point!

can these twin turbos pass an MOT once decatted? i keep getting refused an MOT due to 'no cats fitted' 1992 twin turbo.

1st Aug 1992 is the important date here.

UK cars registered after that date are supposed to have cats fitted to pass an MOT. But, a lot depends on your tester and how friendly he is.

My NA easily passed emissions test with decats.

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

As Paul says, if your car is a JDM it won't be on the database and just needs to get less than 3.5% co2 on the emissions test.
