Handbrake lever adjustment

I used Jeffs excellent handbrake adjustment guide and have got the shoes sorted and working great.

 

The actual handbrake lever still has a bit of slack at the first 2 clicks though and I need to adjust the actual handbrake lever.

 

How do I actually get in there to adjust it?

 

Had a go but stopped before I snapped bits lol.
