Just trying to get competitive quotes together. The car is a 1997 import tt and the cheapest quote I have had so far is £500 ota. I tried AFlux and they quoted £3740 which is ridiculas considering I am 32 have 9 yeara ncb and only drive it 3k a year!!

 

Who do you use and how much do you pay?

This a daily or for classic SDP policy only?

Mine was a daily with all mods declared, all the extra trimmings and 5k miles a year.......£360.

Forgot to say it was with classicline insurance.

Just renewed, first time on a classic policy with a company called 'insured2drive' via confused.com Was quoted £211 on a limited mileage of 3000. However, I am 48 and have 10 years NCB!

Try adrian flux again .only this time on a classic ltd 5000. Miles.and add your misses into the insurance as a named driver if she has a clean licence and no claims and watch your price drop to within all the other prices you here on here.

ive had a quick look but is there an age limit on classic car policies?

Think a car has to be 15 years old for classic insurance

What about an age limit on the person holding the policy? i was under the impression you had to be 25 to have classic car insurance, hopefully im wrong

Think it's 21, might depend on the company you go with though.

I have spoken with Adrian Flux again and they price at $595.00 and this is why

 

1. The car is an import and not already registered in the UK

2. This is my first year on the policy

3. The car cannot go on classic because its not 20 years old but can go on modern classis with 3000 lim milage

 

I have not put the missus on the policy so will see if that helps bring the price down.
