Test the plug going to the injector?

Would i be able to hear each 1 ticking over the engine or how do u mean

Engine running, place a long screwdriver over the injector so it rests on the body and put your ear to the handle.

You should hear a distintiive 'tick'.

Try the others to get an idea of the sound.....

Also, yes, check the connector itself as it will possibly be Green!

Ok il try that next

i read about the connectors gettin a build up of corosion what would be best to use to clean them

Contact cleaner is best and a small flat blade screwdriver to scrape off heavy crud......

Might sound like it is ticking but it is hard to make sure as the rest of the injectors are ticking and sending the tick through the rail.

No yet ism not to sure how to do that to be honest

Have you a multimeter,if so set your multimeter to ohms(looks like a horse shoe),take of the injector plug of the injector, use the two probes on each of the injector pins you should have i think between 12 and 14 omhs for the injector to be good.

Tested the injector 12ohms on the injector

could the injector be clogged maybe

or maybe the ptu is gone bad

Ptu only transfers power to the coil packs. So if there was a spark then that's working. I don't personally rate all this screw driver jazz, too much noise and interference. Test the connector is sending out power.

Iam going to test that everything for power 2moro, ptu then coilpack injectors

noticed theres tape around the loom going to ptu and a single black wire out of it and turned back away from the ptu and back into the loom

also there was tape around the connector on the coilpack of the cylinder thats misfiring

if you have spark at the plug dont rule out the coil pack it may have spark but not enough if its gone week but if a coil pack is swapped know good and problem still persists its looking like the injector is gone the ohms may still read good but that dosent mean its not foobar

the other side of this that is a problem or could be is valve float

this can be caused by 3 things

1 your using the wrong grade of oil so need to know what you have in it

2 you have a seized lifter bucket

or

3 your valve springs gone weak which isnt uncommon and the pressure in the lifter bucket oil wise is greater than the valve spring causing it not to shut

Did a compression test today and cylinder 5 is right down bout 30psi the other two on that side are low to

the other side were all fine 160psi

Would the head gasket be gone or pistons or rings?

I don't mate but if your down at 30psi on number 5 then that engine needs rebuilt..
