Got started on manual conversion this afternoon, got brake pedal fitted, clutch pedal and servo fitted, down to workshop on Wednesday to get box swapped and plumb in the pipe work and sort wiring, then get props bolted together and get them down to the balancing company. Going to bhp show in 2 weeks so that's my deadline to have it done!

post pics of the work would be of great to see the progress

That's the worst bit done. Take your time over clutch alignment and you will be fine. Good luck with the trust bearing.

See the difference in the new seal compared to old one! Should make for a good pedal.

Swapped clutch thrust bearing tonight, gearbox being swapped on Saturday, got all the nice new shiny parts now.

Using a press and a socket here to press bearing carrier out of the thrust bearing

Here is the bearing carrier and bearing separated

Here I'm pressing the new thrust bearing onto the carrier, it's ok to press on bearing face as it is a thrust bearing and that's what it is designed to do and it's not a excessively tight fit so not much force required

This plug is on the same loom as the speed sensor harness which is left behind when auto tranny is removed, all other wiring comes out with the tranny, by simply cutting off this plug and soldering wires together it removes starter inhibit associated with the auto tranny.
