What a difference.....that does not look like the same one. I was thinking of powder coating mine when I did the poly bushes but here in deepest Africa we dont have rust issues. My subframe still looks like the day it came out the factory in 1989 just with a layer of dust and elephant sh!t. LOL

Good job there and if I were in the UK I would do the complete front and rear suspension.

I will be doing the front sub soon

Something i want to do to mine, looks awesome that does, but think it would be better for me to find a rear subframe first, sort that one out, and then do the change, rather than have my car off the road for longer than needed.

yes I was going to do that its don't look like its much work but when you get into it you soon see its a lot of pissing about and changing all the bushes is a rite pain

Im so glad im in safe hands.and youve had loads of pratice!

well its not a nice job to do that's for sure

Nice, job. I did mine last year and those subframe bushes are a nightmare, drilling, burning, sawing. Ended up using a dremel to get them out. It's like a never ending onion!

Fitted all solid in mine, all driftworks arms and poly bushes on the bits left. Yet to take her out on the track, but should be interesting when i do. Anyway, this thread is not about me. Well done! :thumbup1:

like you say a onion

You have made a cracking job of that Danny...i know all the work you have put into it too mate:thumbup1:;)

thanks well you did help put me on the rite track when it came to fitting the bushes what a total bitch thay were

Nice work mate, I did exactly the same to my rear sub a couple of years ago. Makes a hell of a difference :thumbup1:

what bushes did you use ? did you change the lot like I did ? if so how did it feel when back on the car ?

I used E.S bushes and, yes I replaced every one Including the diff set, I also removed the HICAS. Can't really tell you how it handles as mine is still being finished and not been on the road...lol That said the samll amount it has moved feels solid :)

I did diff bushes aswell should help the back end out I found the stock rear end to soft and like mush

Mine were generally ok'ish but I wanted new uprated ones all round. I've done the front sub as well but not the top joints as you couldn't get bushes for them then just rose joints. The hardest bush of the lot was the drivers side steering rack one. Easy with engine out. complete pain in the butt with it in..lol

I do plan on doing the front sub at some point but the engine will in what do you mean by top joint ?

The upper link mate. Connects the third link (upright) to the inner wing. You had to replace the whole unit when I did mine but you can get bushes now to refurb the existing links.

thanks for the heads up will have a good look

thanks mate am happy with it but like I said was a lot of pissing around
