Hi Guys, i have sold my BMW and am now in a position to by a Zed, i shall put the obligatory wanted in the classified section but thought i'd start it off with a Thread, So i'm looking for a LWB pref a NA but would consider a turbo, Would prefer Auto but would also consider Manual. I need the car to be a runner with some tax/mot. I've got about £1500 so if you know of anyone or have one yourself, drop me a line.

Regards

Richard

Graham, good spot, its a starting bid though, could go anywhere, and i have to say, is it me or have zed prices gone sky high over the last few years, when i looked on Piston heads years ago, 20 - 30 zeds came up, with the majority reasonably priced, now there's 6, and not one in my price range.

My 380 bhp TT i got a few years ago was a monster, great car, only £1400 bargain.

i'll put a bid in, see how it goes.

Cheers Graham

'Sky high'? You can get a very clean TT for between £3.5k and £5k. IMO, that's peanuts. I think you were just lucky as generally, £1500 Z32s are something I'd steer clear of. But then again, I'd only be looking at TT manuals. You should be able to get reasonable NA auto for £1500 though.

There was a chap selling a tatty TT manual on here for £1000 for a quick sale. Not something I'd go for, but it might be ok as a base long-term project.

I've got a red NA Auto LWB that I've had for a while in storage, got plenty of history and about £7k in receipts. Obviously no mot at the mo, but depends if its something you want to take on or just want one that's ready for the road straight away.

The number of Z's for sale has dropped significantly from a few years ago. This is due to the very high number of 300zx's being broken for parts. This has removed a lot of badly maintained Z's leaving a few good ones for sale but still sad to see them broken for parts rather than restored.Still some bad ones out there so check them well or you will end up spending a fortune on it. Good luck.

'Scuse my ignorance, who are you referring to?

Maybe "sky high" was going a bit far, but a few years ago i'm sure there were more in the mid range 2K - 3K than in the high range, and those 2K ones were decent looking cars.

Well unfortunately I had to do a deal with the bm, ended up with a Mazda 3, 2.0 sport plus some cash. So is this the end of an era..

I have to decide what to do with the zed in the garden, I was almost there , if only the auto box I bought worked, don't know if I can go through it again, what with my health getting worse, when we had that pollution come over, i had 2 angina attacks, not funny.
