AVOID Carplan shampoo LIKE THE PLAGUE!. It's absolutely dreadful stuff. I wouldn't even think it was worth £2! LOL ;)

 

If it's the same stuff as they sell at Homebase, it looks like semen and is probably about as effective. It doesn't lather very well and you need to empty in half a bottle to make it in any way effective.

 

I tried it once, never again! :lol:

Yes not great car wash I use Turtle Wax car wash in the 5L bottles when they are on offer.

Yeah, Turtle Wax and Wash is pretty good. I get that from time to time. I think I have some Simoniz at the moment.

Contrary to popular belief lather does not help clean the car at all.

Take AG BSC, it is renowned as fantastic, yet has zero lather.

 

Although I also hear this Carplan is not so great.

Lather....or rather 'lube' is good. Maybe I should have meant 'consistency'. Actually it lathers, but is about as thin as the water you're washing it in.

Autoglym is good but have never tried Maguairs but if its as good as the rest of the Maguairs rang it will be top drawer car wash/wax.
