Does anyone know where I can source replacement sills from? Mine are knackered and I need to source the pannels then call in a mobile welder to fit them for me.

Many thanks

Dan

This seems to be coming a regular question!

I reckon the Forum could employ the services of a good sheet metal guy to have them made and sell em' to the members, just a thought...........

full sills front to back and Proper wheel archs

Just the one set i presume? would be helpful if we could get that set to someone to make copies from.

it is just one set ..

not sure if the owner will let me get them copied or not

The way this is going, we need to source at least one set to get a copy made, then the originals can go back and a copy of the copy can be made, at this rate, people will just scrap the cars as they cant get the replacement panels to do the job properly, id imagine getting a garage to fabricate the sills / arches and inners is going to add a few £££ to the repair bill already.

It's on my list of things to do, go to Bodymech and get her future proofed. I am scared to look under my plastic side skirts, perhaps I could let it rust away underneath and do like a body kit monocoque!

i just dropped my car off at the body shop today ...

Floor has been repaired last week

now all the rest is being done ..

Well before the year is out, i need to get my drivers side arch and may as well get the sill done while im there, the bubbling on the rear arch is now starting to crack the paint so needs to be done sooner rather than later, the sill may as well get done at the same time, as it makes sense to not go back and have to redo a very close area, passenger side strangely has no rust bubbles at all.

Yes that's odd but not uncommon. It's often the passenger or curbside. My thought process has always been this side has a shit life getting covered in salty puddles etc when driving down the road.

I think with zeds though it's possibly very likely that it's the side where the targa gets dirty so starts to damage the drain out location.

Thanks for all the comments. My drivers side just looks like the grand canyon and I'm determined not to scrap the car. I know a good body shop in Horndean but I have no mot and tax atm. Also my dash is out while I source a new heater matrix for it. Then my exhaust isn't back on yet due to the elbows being a PITA to get out.
