I must have dropped lucky then, I had a Phase 1 for 18 months only thing I bought were two front tyres

and then I bought a graphite grey Phase 2, took it straight to BBR ann had anti torque steer kit and bleed valve fitted

only thing that failed in about 2 years was I blew the top off the intercooler so fitted a one peice.

As you can probably gather I loved both of mine:cool2:

But I need to add. Wife had a Renualt 19 for 4 years and the worst that happened is passenger door lock siezed and I had

to squirt WD 40 into it to free it off. Daughter had a Clio 1.2 for 2 years and I had to change a headlight bulb.

I also had a Peugeot 406 3.0 Coupe ( not renault but french) for just under 4 years :wub: and it had a back box in that time.

None of these were new cars either.

 

I am one lucky sod or there is some myth and legend to these "french shite" stories:thumbup1:

My ex used to have an R5 turbo, was towing her up the bypass one day when I looked in the mirror and she wasn't there... She was half a mile behind with a snapped rope and I hadn't even noticed :lol:

I agree, I quite liked the look of the wheels, but then they ruined the good work with the body and spoiler being done the same way.....it looked horrible at the end.

Can't wait to see the 2cv!!!

I enjoyed the rx7 one but yes, the paint job and wheels were tacky to the max. But since I don't want an rx7 or indeed and mazda then I wasn't that bothered..lol

 

The bit that made me laugh was that that the turbo timer said for tirbo AND N/A engines...?? I struggle to understand the use of one on a turbo engine but can't for the life of me see why you'd need one on a non turbo :confused:

yes the snake skin wheels were nasty. the place were thay mapped the car when I had my Porsche i went there to use that dyno about 2 years ago pip the guy on the show did the run for me nice guy like

Wheeler Dealers are going to be at the International Sports Car Show at the NEC later this year. I love the show. Always thought Ed China was a bit of a knob, but I have warmed to him. Certainly one of the better motoring shows about at the moment. There are enough house repair programmes on the box, nice to see this series going from strength to strength.

I started watching wheeler dealers right from the very start years ago. one of my fave shows of all time. what made you think ed was a knob? ed makes the show he is great with out him the show wouldn't have been as good as it is

At first I thought Ed was a bit of a dope!.. Although it soon became apparent that he was actually a very likeable, intelligent and knowledgeable chap, to which I think makes the show that bit more special. I do think Mike is a tool though but I see past that for the content of the show.

Wife has the full Sky package, she likes her sport, and had to hand write instructions for me how to work the dvd player when she went on her Xmas night out !

Normally watch my music dvd`s whilst chained to the kitchen flip down. Big tv in the living room is alien to me !
