Welcome Ron.....what do you want the uprated one to do?? change stall speed meaning more rpm before the car moves. This is normaly achieved by running a small T/C which has the effect of needing more revs before it starts pumping the same given fluid. Dont forget these ecu controlled boxes are not as simple as say a TH350 or TH400 found on yanky cars ect which have no electrical imput to there shifting points so could be a stumbling block on a Zed i cant be sure .....I watch this thread with great interest:wink:

BTW if yours is knacked then i have a perfect T/C sitting on my garage floor for sale.

Thank you for your reply. It's actually for a customer of mine. I'm new to the whole Zed/jap scene I normally deal with American/hotrod/Drag cars so well aware of the how they work but thank you as I'm new to the forum. My customers car we put it on the dyno and pretty much as soon as it came up on boost it pulled through the converter. Were looking at changing the ECU as well. The car has been chipped but seriously over fuelling

He's eventually looking to push the car over 400 bhp so building for future developments

Thank you for your advice on the trans

Sorry mate i thought you where a raw novice:o....the weak link on these cars with a combo of high hp and auto is not the T/C but the gearboxes given there complexity and age..having said that a healthy ZX autobox could easy handle 400 plus with uprated cooler and fluid as a lot of members have had in the past here. The best person to chat with would be one of our traders called NOZ..(noel) who maps these cars and runs his on the strip who upto recently ran a decent hp auto himself so he will give you the full run down.
