Thought I'd start a build thread for my TT. Not been able to do much since I bought her but she was picked up this avo & should be at Lee Dents by now for a new engine. Can't wait to get her back! She looks a bit sorry for herself at the moment. Will add more pics soon.

Looking good Tom! Bet you can't wait to get her on the road.

I did actually see it being delivered to Lee's a couple of weeks ago and meant to compliment then.

Keep the updates coming :)

Thanks Sarah, looking forward to seeing it look like a car again.

Lee just sent me a picture of my extremely clean plenum. Looks like a brand new engine. Nice work mate!

Saw this last time I was at Lee's place, looks the mutts.

The engine is now sat in place & should be running sometime in the week. Lee sent me this teaser picture, really can't wait to see it now. He's also helped me out with a lot of missing parts, stuff that I didn't even know was missing.

Lee is like that, it looks good buddy the paintwork is a lot better than people are saying too as there is a lot worse out there! I'm looking forward to seeing it moving under its own steam!

Same here! Think Lee is aswel so he doesn't have to push it out every day. Hopefully the paintwork just needs a mop over it & a few bits touched up

Good to see you today Tom, and your Zed is going to be the dogs doda's when finished buddy. Glad you liked that gear shifter knob too, it will look awesome in your car buddy.

Had a bit of time today to write down what's been done, I'm sure Lee will tell me what I've missed off.

Engine: new water pump, thermostat, cambelt, spark plugs, alternator. Plenum sprayed, red silicone hoses, polished water pipes, water bypass, egr delete, air con removed. NA power steering pot. All parts cleaned & some resprayed in satin black. Japspeed radiator & chrome bracket.

Japspeed exhaust & decats fitted.

All the brake pipes have been checked & redone in places.

Lee has also sourced a lot of missing parts.

Bumpers & skirts are currently being resprayed.

Rear lights are getting the 99 spec treatment.

Things to do

Change the rear diff. Replace rear hub assembly's. Fit conceptua hicas lock out bar. Fit new clutch & refit gearbox. Fit rear shocks.

And it's looking great too Tom.....

Thanks Ian, it's taking shape now. Really missed it this weekend with the weather being so good.

Sprayed the rear diffuser today. Filled in a few scratches & then used a high build primer. Put 5 coats of satin black on & its looking pretty good now. Just need to laquer it tomorrow. Glad I've got Keith spraying the bumpers as its not easy to get a good finish.
