Well got to say that after years of riding sports bikes was thinking of trading the old girl in for smoothing like a bandit(more comfortable riding position),but after realisation of getting nothing for it px,thought I will modify my exup,so after doing a bit of research found an engineering company that do a full handle bar raiser kit for the fzr1000,so going down this road so I can keep my old bike :-),anyone done this? I have been Reading the revues and all positive saying fantastic riding position when done,so here a few pics of the strip down read for my new top yolk and bars.

i used to do the top yoke conversion on all my GSXR,S including a FZR in my biking days...could,nt be doing with all hunched over riding. gets the front wheel in the air a lot easier too:cool3:

I had a local engineering shop make me a set of bespoke bars a good few years back. Getting them made to order was actually quite cheap. They used a ram from a jcb to make the fork clamp component. Was a good job for around eighty quid.

The bars are the cheapest part to be honest £30 for 22mm low road unbraced bars.

Looking forwards to getting it done without the back braking position:-)

Well finished the mods on the old girl:) so much better riding position really pleased with the end result don't think it spoils the bikes looks, just got to get some miles on it now see how much better on a long run.

I gave my old girl a bit of a new twist, apart from another 200cc increase (from ZXR400 to ZX6r) plus a few extras.....!

very nice to,all ways had Kawasaki's had a few zzr's and loved them, also had a few exup's,might treat her to a repaint after the summer:-).

Some nice bikes there.

I've modified just about every bike (and car) I've ever owned over the years. There aren't many standard parts on this :) Normal riding position is elbows touching knees but surprisingly it's not uncomfortable even for an old gizzer like me. Sadly time to part with it to help me focus on the race car but it will be a big loss :crying:

Yes been there so many times buying new bikes then selling them to fund other projects, bought my zzr1400 brand new from Tom at preston super bikes full kitted with silver panniers and paid extra for centre stand (cheeky beggars) i can remember the days when they came with the bike!,anyhow sold it with 800 miles on her 12mths later to fund her new kitchen,so this is why i now have a cheap £1200 quid exup it owes me nothing and she want make me sale it:),

Nice zx10 do like the sports bike its just they don't like me anymore.
