BodyStyle parts

Hi everyone,

I have just bought my first 1992 Nissan 300zx tt UK model in manual and would like to spend some money doing her up, the rear tailgate has no spoiler as it's been flushed does any one know where I could buy a rear spoiler like a remake / copy of the original one or even better one with no center light and I need a decent pair of side skirts please help as I'm fairly new to the scene.

One other question the rear plastic perspex stripe that sits in between the rear lights and spoiler the lettering Nissan and twin turbo is missing how do I replace that?

If you replace the spoiler you won't require the perspex strip as the spoiler covers it all. Carmad (in trading section) sells a replica oem spoiler and also an improved oem (IMO) which happens to have the centre brake light deleted like you require. I think they're about £120 then you'll need to fit and paint.

Your car will look very odd with side skirts only IMO. The middle of the car will look lower than the front and rear making it look a little 'off balance'. I'd steer clear of Wings West and Veilside type skirts and anything else that has strange shapes and pointless vents in them. Go with smoother more complimentary ones.

I'd personally also avoid vented nose panels and most of the more commonly seen aftermarket front bumpers like the Greddy, Wings West and Veilside types - they don't work with the car's natural shape at all. Shoot for Stillen bumper extensions, they tie in far better than anything else about unless you're lucky enough to find a complete Impul kit!

Nice and subtle. Skirts-only work well on a black car. Reckon a Stillen extension would look HAWT on that too! :)

Hi Joe, I'm after a rear spoiler with or without the center light but it mustn't cover the rear perspex strip as I would like to keep that original so I can put the stickers back on.

This is the carmad custom spoiler on my old zed.

Hi t.mogsy, I think I spoke to you on Ebay asking about the rear spoiler, yours looks exactly what I'm after without covering the rear perspex strip, does that spoiler sit sightly lower/flat than the original spoiler ?

Hi Funkysi, thanks for your advice I understand where your coming from, I forgot to mention it's been lowered with 18's so the added skirts will look fine, I'm not looking to put a body-kit on maybe a Stillen front splitter as I I've seen loads of them on and they suit the car very nicely where can I buy one from ?

By the way yours looks nice with the added skirts.

Ah that's right mate I did speak to you on ebay. Not sure how it compares to the original, you'd be best asking carmad or have a look at this http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?161115-Car-Mad-Custom-Spoiler-Now-For-Sale!!! There's a picture of them both on there.
