wondering if anyone knows about the ignition locks..

 

I've got one with the titanium key that i want to replace mine with... however it is different.

 

mine is like in the diagram with a set of wires coming from near the front of the barrel..

the one i have to replace it with doesn't have these wires it just has a blanking plug there.

 

 

can I just change the barrels over.. and if so how?

I'm not sure but was thinking one may be from an auto to release key when in park...

yeah... good thinking.. was wondering about that.. mine used to be an auto (before I got it).

 

So I guess need to know what to do, just ignore or do I need to bridge the circuit?

i have a skinny barrel bit and two keys ,new but no wires ill have to strip mine to fit , thats why its sat in the glove box for years

If it is for an auto box and u can take the key out now then just don't connect the wires...
