1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level

Took many items off my engine and have sent them to a metal polisher just a few miles from me and below are the results of his and my work :cool3:.

This is my aftermarket radiator bracket, it was or is stainless steel but now highly polished. The SLICKTOP plate was made by TwinTurboRich and I've had this powder coated and bolts on with some stainless steel allen capped nuts and bolts.

This is my Tokyo Auto cooling panel, original these come in silver or blue from z32-zone in Japan, mine was silver and the polisher told me it was anodized but now polished up as you can see. The logo was originally silver and riveted on, I drilled these out and had it powder coated, again bolted on using the same attractive stainless bolts.

Then the usual polished up water pipes, these will be used with red silicone hoses and mikalor t-clamps

Finally for this post, had my Altia sills polished, this removed many many scratches incurred from over the years, now I have a mirror finish.

  • Although this 95 is incredibly clean and we want it to stay this way, Jim has been underneath it, scrubbing, cleaning because he bought a Rust Buster Epoxy Kit in Silver Aluminium which is not far off

  • More also on the digital AC in the days to come, I always had the manual pod on the 94 but with the white 95 providing the digital one I have migrated the full loom from that LWB into my 95 SWB, this

An up to date engine bay pic, I've polished nothing and never will, a bit of red going on and some bits not to everybody's taste but this is how it's staying.

There are some extra cables/vacuum hose put in, which await a Link G4 system, only thing left to do pretty much.

Its your car, keep it how you want! I think it looks good, but My OCD would kick in and I would be polishing non-stop ?

Having got new this and that fitted, I went round the block and soon it was apparent the car was too low, scuffing up my brand new tyres ☹️.

Lifted just the fronts 20 or so mm, looks much better now, I may come back down a little but we'll see.

In the garage the car will stay, my orange cushions will be on the floor otherwise........

Another job that was required, the car came over from Japan with the OEM decal......decal.thumb.JPG.323da02c30264bf6b0061b8a0478e27f.JPG

Sadly it had to be removed/discarded and the area cleaned.......687345079_cleanedup.thumb.jpg.3157801c17518f9cf56e6d56d6ee77ad.jpg

To fit some black gloss 3M vinyl, had to be very careful when fitting, the job is not forgiving on careless cutting at all but I've not done too shabbily imo, after the pics were taken I ran a very thin line of black gloss paint along the top/underside to hide slight imperfections ?.IMG_1156.thumb.jpg.65ae19ea88fbe04ff93b8b224d6237dc.jpg

Much better with this, I'm waiting on the OEM NISSAN FAIRLADY Z and the TWIN TURBO decals from CZP now. IMG_1159.thumb.jpg.d014ff1a087e5f7cbdd8a0a19fb92444.jpg

The car at some point does need a respray but it is more than acceptable now and therefore that’ll be considered when the time arrives but I want to use it and I’m not bothered atm for chasing bodywork perfection.

Very cool build mate. It's a unique one.

How does that Infinity exhaust sound? Going up to a 3" is on my wishlist but my remit sounds similar to what yours was. I don't want much drone - but I'd also like a nice roar.
