another 2 zeds defiantly worth a look buddy, good luck in your search

...also its not whats a best 'all rounder' as thats your opinion as yours may vary to many other peoples opinion.

so its best you decide what would best fit what you want from one of these cars. There is a fountain of knowledge on these cars here so more than enough to give you an educated decision.

thanks guys .. im in tamworth ?

twin turbo sounds nice but mpg ? i only work 6 miles away

Mpg is quite similar between both the TT and N/a.

but if your worried about mpg return your looking at the wrong car lol.

From my own experience with a TT ....motorway journeys i could get 26mpg...and around town i got around 19mpg.

twin turbo sounds nice but mpg ?

Not many at all. I work 3 miles from work and after warming up, cooling down and the short drive I use about £30 a week.

To be honest though, and all 300 owners will agree, its not about the milage costs etc, its about the thrill of the car! Once you drive one you will know what I mean.

I've had a auto n/a, a manual n/a and an auto TT.

Given the choice again I would choose a manual every time as the auto just doesn't feel like the sports car its pretending to be.

Welcome to the forum Paul; good luck in your search for a 300zx mate - there are a few nice, well cared for cars for sale on here at the moment. My personal choice would always be the TT model as I like the effortless power. However don't rule out the NA - especially the SWB slicktop in manual...!!

As for MPG; it's a 1990s 3.0 v6 - so you'll get nothing like the economy a modern equivalent engine would turn. And on your daily 12 mile round commute, you'll most likely not notice any difference between the TT or NA when it comes to fuel cost - and if you expect anywhere between 18 and 22mpg average, you'll not be disappointed when you have to fill up! Yes, some folks have seen 26mpg and above - but that is pretty exceptional TBH; and only achieved on a good long distance run. Me? I have a bit of a heavy right foot, so I have seen nowhere near that...

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Welcome to the forum buddy. I have a LWB NA auto, and my son a SWB NA Auto, and love both of them. I would love a TT, but to be really honest, the cost of them if they go wrong puts me off. The blue NA manual that KJZ32 is selling has a John Dixon chipped ECU, and that is brilliant for an NA, shifts very well.

The LWB NA auto being sold by T.Mogsy is a great buy too.

Good luck with your search, and if you have any questions just ask, there is always someone to answer.

once again thanks kieth hope you get back ok and GLWS .. paul

So what is your revised budget?

I did advise Paul, he needs to be looking in the 4/5k region, nothing wrong with my car, for its price, just wants one with nothing needing doing to it, hence he will have to go up the scale a bit

I EMAIL, THE GUY AT KGF CLASSIC CARS RE HIS 300 TURBO thats at £3999 with 18 nissn stamps if im right and he said "sorry the vehicle is under offer"

dont think i want to start messing with one just want it pukka

i have a 1988 f reg astra gte that is jsut stunning it is a turn key car in 9.5/10 so something like that is what i am after ... i realise these are old cars but as i said i dont want to mess with it ...

kieth was great about his car so i will keep looking

As Andrew says. Put a bit of pressure on them saying you have the cash waiting. That will play on their minds the longer it takes for their potential buyer to cough up. Good luck

thanks 666 kieth dropping it down today :)
