The mrs car (not the mrs  )

Quick run down on my Dorsey mrs and her mother, we were in the car the other day with her mum driving, and she goes "Oh look, that engine light has come on again"

Not panicking or worried she just carried on without a care in the world,

"Did you not think to tell me that the most important warning light on the car was coming on? And how long has this been happening?" I asked her.

They both had a debate and decided "ohhhh ummm a few weeks on and off, but it goes off most of the time"

FACEPALM

Well it's going the Lee Dents place to have some work on it anyway so I'll ask him to have a look, the original work is carried out to his usual high standard, then the seat ibiza gets plugged into the computer, dodgey camshaft sensor, ok sound we will replace that in the next day or 2. Butttttttttt.........

It was too late, they had left the engine light on way too long without acting upon it and now the engine is trying to rattle itself off its mounts and out of the car, presumably to run away and find better owners

I didn't know weather to start this thread here or in the JOKES section.

P.S LEE HELP US!

PMSL - the good old company car; no matter what it is, it's still almost the fastest and most dependable car in the world - no matter which waning light comes on, the car will soldier on for many many miles withough breaking....

......And I say "almost" because the fastest, most dependable car in the world is the rental/hire car....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Haha. I get this too. My mrs doesn't even see them or just plain ignores them. "How long has the that red brake warning light been on my love?" "Dunno really a week?" Is the reply etc wtf a week? You haven't told me and just keep on driving it? What is wrong with them. Kitchen cupboard door is wobbly and she's all over it "it needs sorting" FFS hahaha. The lesson is until they learn to lol after it buy them nothing nice.

PMSL - to be fair, Julia does tell me straight away if she thinks there's something wrong with her car (which I bought BTW:wink:)...... A few years back, she came in from work to tell me that there was a "funny orange light" on the dash that had come on during her drive home. Fearing the engine light, I went out only to find nothing at all....

Anyway when it happened again a few days later, she left the car running and called me out to have a look - it turned out to be the rear fog lamp indictor; she had accidentally switched on the rear fogs with her knee. "Oh!" she said, "No wonder everyone behind was flashing!!!"

Pity she forgets to mention when she has driven too close to the grass banks and hedges though - leaving me to curse and swear when I have to polish out yet another scratch.....

Richard:oops:

Yeah. My other halfs engine warning light came on in his BMW. After a couple of attempts to sort it he left it on the drive and bought a new car instead!!
