It's ok, i'm a lifelong jap car nut and garage owner, coming from an Mr2 engine conversion background for the last 15 years, so i'll be doing all the work myself, toying with the idea of a boosted 1uz when the time comes, my other toys are a 2gr-fe engined (Lotus Evora lump) Mk1 Mr2, a 3s-gte engined Corolla Tsport, a Lotus Exige engined Mk3 Mr2 and a V6 powered Rav4...

Cheers Dan, the plan is to use her as a daily driver until i get to know the car better, it's my first 300, but i've been unable to keep the engine standard in anything else i've ever owned, so god knows how it will end up.

am doing my car now engine will be next year I think am going for around 570bhp ish . the bill are all ready getting out hand as it is I have found the car on stock suspention with the hicas combo to be shocking when it comes to handling I have driven a 300 with uprated damper and spring and it felt so much better

Is every 300zx/Fairlady equipped with Hicas? What's the best road going suspension to use?

Thankyou 666 :)

Hey buddy, lwb come with is, hydraulic up until 94 or Somin then electric. N/a don't have hicas.

Someone will come along and give a more accurate date.

am going koni dampers with a lowering spring some use coil overs but all the cars I have been in with coilover on are just harsh

Cheers Dan, it seems to be same in the Mr2 world, coilovers just result in too harsh a ride.... i'll hunt out some Konis, thanks.

am sure other makes will be fine to coilovers are great for a track but lets face it in the real world there to harsh

Welcome to the club Paul - and good luck with your new toy!!

.................... and a V6 powered Rav4...........!

Sounds interesting..... My wife has a 2006 XTR 3-door (last of the Mk3 shape) and, whilst I quite enjoy driving it, I do feel it needs more power:shifty: I was thinking of contacting Fensport and enquiring about a GT4 engine conversion - but since I already drive 2 V6 powered cars, I like the sound of that...

Not necessarily mate; Meister R (a trader on here) does a great coilover set-up for the 300zx. Nice and taut bit not too harsh; fully adjustable - and a bargain compared to some lesser set-ups out there!!

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

had tried coil overs on many cars and know lots of mates with modded cars and every one who has coilovers says the ride it harsh

last cars I went are evo with coilovers and a Porsche 911 coilovers ands its harsh crashing over every little bump in the road

welcome to the club, another north east member  our summer meets will hopefully be booming.

I'm another to disagree on the coilovers, I've got some miester r's also and they are sublime, the setup options are plenty so a soft ride is possible with them. I highly recommend them, especially if there's another group buy and you can get them brand new for around £500.
