Hey everyone,

It was actually warm today, couldn't believe it. the Zed came out for a play for a few hours, and although I should have washed her I was enjoying driving around too much. Here are some snaps from the day... Anyone else managed to get out and take any photos etc?

Also, really enjoying the new Volks F-Zero wheels, although they need a refurbish I think they set off the car really well with the less-is-more look.

Best, W

haha yes that sounds about right alan! :p If you want to look then fine (cant say I don't check peoples reaction in the mirrors, that's what they are for anyway right?), but I drive the Zed for the enjoyment of driving a beautiful machine, but also if you do try it then you will probably loose.

sdriver73: I am based in Lymington at the moment but moving to Southampton soon probably due to work. Do love the forest in the sun but it is a pain in the ass with all this rain and the road closures left right and center! Nice V8 BTW, must sound amazing!!

Nice pics Will and I see you even have your targa's of

Seconded..... It sure was a great day for Zedding yesterday!!

I have actually taken the unprecedented step of leaving mine in the garage SORNed this month :scared:

I normally keep it taxed all year round - but as I didn't take the Z on my New Year trip to Cornwall this time; I realized that I'd not actually be driving it much at all in January. Rest assured normal service will resume at the end of the month though - I will tax it for 12 months from 1 February and continue to drive it all year round.........

.....Only 3 weeks to go......:hyper:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I'm visiting my brother in London at the mo so yesterday we were a bit touristy. Went up n down the Thames on a boat and on the cable cars near the O2 arena

Nice - glad you are having a great time in the Big Smoke!!

I lived in London for 27 years and am so happy I live in the countryside now. But when I do visit London, it is for the Thames (can't beat the boat trip between Westminster and Tower Pier), The Tower of London (the best part of the city for me) and, even though I don't like shopping, Harrods.....

I did go up the Shard last year though - expensive at £25pp but a fantastic experience. And any excuse to post a ZX pic....

Cheers buddy! It's a Stillen Type 3 lip mate; it just glues straight onto the stock OEM bumper....

....If you want one, you'd have to import it from Stillen in the USA. However Mike at MJP can sort you out a good deal on importing one - you may have to wait a few weeks, but you'll save a fortune on shipping costs. From memory, it was under £230 delivered; including taxes and duties etc. And it is polyurethane, so it flexes nicely without breaking.

Great info thanks :) I have been waiting for a 99spec to come up, but seeing that it looks really smart and is something a bit different whilst being almost original.

You're welcome mate! I am also a big fan of the 99-spec - and was prepared to go down that route myself; but I also like the original OEM 89-90 spec front end too and when I saw the Stillen lip on Andy Isherwood's car, I decided to do that instead. There are plenty of cars running 99-spec, so this is just a little different from the norm, as you say!

Go for it, I say mate. Give Mike Feeney a call and see what he can do for you....

Didn't Andy have the type 2 slightly different finishes flush with the nose?

Nope - he had the type 3, the same as me; Gray now has it on his black 300zx....

Andy did a slight modification to the bumper to remove the "beading" above the moustache; he also got rid of the "bars" in the intercooler vents - but apart from that it was the same lip as mine because I otherwise copied him!

GTZ does not fit entirely flush with the nose (like the Type 3 does) - you still get the "overbite" look, but with a sticky-outy bit at the very bottom....
