Fitted 15mm spacers a few months ago with no need to flare the arches. Then fitted coil overs and new suspension parts in Nov - still no need to flare arches.

However, last weekend I finally got around to getting Hunter alignment done and now I'm getting contact between arch and tyres when driving over even small bumps in the road. Didn't notice it until last night (as I hadn't really driven the car since alignment) and I had to do a quick 15min job to remove the spacers in a service station car park on the M40 so I could get home with peace of mind!

So...spacers stay off til I can get arches flared - anyone know where/how I can get this done in/around Croydon/London?

Thanks

I would get half a degree or so of negative camber dialled in mate.

You reckon vs getting arch flared a touch?

Yup! If it didn't before I would. I saw the camber before you had ot done and it certainly didn't look negative? The wheel looked flush. They may have returned your camber to stock, quite a lot of people dial in a smidge more negative camber.

I rolled the arch lip on my Z, but that's because it was going in for paint and I did JUST the lip. My offset is slightly more aggressive. If I were you I would just get a bit of negative camber dialled in.

Yep archenemy, remind me by txt later and I'll get the local guys number for you, I know him from SXOC :)

Personally I wouldn't go for the negative camber unless required for the alignment.

Decided against flaring. Thinking to just get the lip rolled - does anyone have pics of theirs with rolled lips at the rear? Just so I can get an idea of how it would look.

Other option as Si has pointed out is to get negative camber dialled in...

Thanks

it looks the same externally to roll just the lip

Ah right - would have thought it would raise the leading edge somewhat.

Sorry I should have said :)

Yeah it doesn't change the look externally as your just having the inner lip rolled outwards a bit towards the arch to make more space.

I would as Vig's car before alignment showed no 'visual' negative camber. Far better than chuffing up the arches.

If the person rolling the arches is good, there is no visual evidence on the outside arch that it has been done.

Thanks for all the different views guys. I can understand what Si is talking about though.

I've got my MOT at the Kwik Fit that adjusted the camber in the first place this Sat so will see if they knock it back in a bit while I wait. If not I may look to roll the lip....
