I'd like to announce the appointment of a joint Regional Events Organizer for The South Central area; along with the closure and merging of the former Thames Valley area into the SC region.

The Thames Valley area has proved itself to be inactive as a "stand alone" region in recent months; especially as most TV members could just as easily join meets in either SC, The Midlands or London and the SE. Therefore as most of the active TV members hail from the area West/South West of London, it made sense to incorporate the Thames Valley region into South Central. In view of the larger area, and to help BigH (Howard) plan future local meets, the committee (along with Howard) has given its backing to z32bolt (Steve) becoming joint REO for The South Central with immediate effect.

On behalf of The Committee, I'd like to thank ZX-TT (Craig) for all efforts in the Thames Valley region; and congratulate Steve on his new role within the club.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Awesome! Steve, we'll arrange some more joint meets for next year after this year's success of the Haynes' meet! Think we can make it a good year for the south!

That's the spirit we had hoped to evoke!!!

I reckon that all the recent REO changes will prove positive for 2014 and beyond!!

Cheers guys, yeah I was happy to see you being elected si as obviously we can get some great joint meets going :)

There will be an organised sc meet each month during the peak season from March till September. There will likely be a meet on the eastern side of Dorset or western side of Hampshire as there are plenty of members in this part of the area. However I am mindful that it cannot be expected of everyone to always have to travel this way. (I'm down in Poole so very central)

Joint meets can be expected with the surrounding areas and the relations with the Bristol/glos lot are pretty good, with so on board there I expect that to get even better. Tomorrow il outline some ideas and let you all know them. :)
