Gonna be fitting bigger intercoolers soon and I'm reading up about the coolant tank being right behind the passenger ic. Has anyone moved theirs to help the air flow better? If so, let's hear some details of where to and what tank you used instead.

 

Also, anyone know the standard tank capacity?

Most of use just remove it .. and Feed a drain line from the rad down to the floor ..

 

there are some that say its needed .. and some will say its not ... for reasons

Looks good but expensive considering I'd need a smaller battery too.

Got some Greddys off a member on here. They're fatter so I don't know if I will end up with clearance issues from the bottles.

I'd like it to be accessible to a certain degree. But it can't look like some rough after thought.

We are putting a small tank where the battery used to be. Thats not an option for most road car users tho as we have the battery in the car...(Bobgenies track car) It will be easy to check on race/track day.

Are you using that ams tank?

 

No I have a nice Nismo item that we are fitting. I think its actually an oil catch tank but it is about the size n shape we need.

And its translucent lastic so we can keep any eye on it at the track.

I fitted a motorbike one , if you can zoom in on the pic you can just make it out on the inside of the n/s chassis at the side of the rad , not saying this would work on most as i had a fair bit of room after decluttering the engins bay :thumbup:
