Anyone know what size speakers will fit into original locations on a zed? Don't want to cut anything if possible just replace with good quality speaker units.

as the Original holes are 6" .. most after market Speakers like the ones i sell are 6.5"

 

so u have 3 options Make the Holes slightly bigger .. Make new Speaker Door mount plates .. or Buy a set of me Nice door pods

to stick on your door cards

6 1/2 in the front and depending on the braket you have in the rear either a 4x6 or a 6 1/2.

 

easiest way is to pop off the cover on the rear speaker and have a look at the mounting bracket.

Mark is right; the exact fitment is indeed an odd size.....

 

.....But there are still some manufacturers that make a 6 inch speaker!! I bought a pair of Fusion CS FR6020 speakers a year ago - they bolt straight in with no modification whatsoever...:wink:

 

That said, mark's door pods look pretty good!!
