Hi all!

I'm going to view a zed later to buy 1995 TT Manual 2+2, the guy has informed me it sometimes looses power steering but returns pretty quick?? Any ideas or thoughts on this guys?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Fluid level spot on by the way.

Faulty speed sensor is a possibility too. Jeff TT did a write-up where the end cap comes loose and disengages the speed signal occasionally, which in turn can mess the power steering up.

if you are very lucky it could be low on fluid... and yes the 95 is a good one.. heaps of stuff on the web about the different years.

make sure you find out if its UK or JDM and if the import you will need to compare the Chassis number with the manufacture list to get the correct age.

if it feel nooty if you know what i mean then itll proberly be fluid level . mine used to do that even when the level wass spot on then i toped it right up since then no issues, dont know why thou?

It's likely an import as a 95 easy to tell the front and rear look different, uk cars have built I rear fogs and the indicator is in the inner two lights on the front bumper.

Keep an eye out for a loss of the speedo or hicas light when loosing power steering. It's a good indication of the fault.
