You've picked a bad example there. A set of wheels would sort that out. The Z32 wheels on JDM cars look like that at the rear. Inset and unflattering. GTOs, you can't even have staggered wheels because of the 4WD system. They sit really oddly and there's little you can do to the car to give it a pleasing stance.

Easily sorted with the NSX, Z32 and Supra.

Exactly my point though!!, .....straight from the factory!, brand new!, with no trick photography!, original wheels and spec, the GTO looks better than the big 4 INCLUDING that red NSX.

add some nice wheels to that line up then the GTO falls behind!... Its the 4wd thats doing it for me, let hope the one I`m looking at isn`t a front wheel drive haha

I think the NSX has been the only one I've not liked at any point. I liked the z32 the first time I saw one I've liked the skyline more so when younger, it looks a bit fat square and boring to me now. The gto I liked I was put off by its engine bay, I know I know. The fto was never a winner for me it was girly slow and fwd. the supra well I hate the lights, front and rear. And considering how expensive the turbo models are your still left with what your nan will assume is a celica with a spoiler.

Actually Daz - I don't mind the look of the 3000GT/GTO either. It certainly looks loads better than the Mk4 Soop and (IMO) a bit better than the RX7; but with all those vents and bulges, I reckon the Z32 has aged better, with its clutter free classic wedge shape...... And I too prefer the later fixed headlamp version; especially the TT which was more powerful and had an updated 6-speed gear box.

Be vigilant when buying an NA though as I believe a few of them were not actually 4wd; unlike the TT.

I'm not sure I'd buy one for the winter though; even if it's a 4wd, there are other cheap 4x4 cars out there that may be a better bet:wink: But it's your choice and as long as you can sell it for what you paid for it, come spring; then you haven't lost anything!!

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I think a zed in stock form looks really dated compared to the others especially from the rear

I think it was only the US that got. The fwd jap got the 4x4 but in na form I should imagine. The fwd would be quicker. Less weight and less transmission loss

Exactly my point though!!, .....straight from the factory!, brand new!, with no trick photography!, original wheels and spec, the GTO looks better than the big 4.

Disagree with that too. The Z has much nicer flowing lines, far more easy on the eye, far more pert. In person, the Z32 also has more road presence. Indeed, opinions, but I think the GTO was the least attractive of the big four. I still like them, but they can't beat the Z32 at all.

The Z32 has some of the neatest lines of any production sports car.

Mk3 facelift is by far the best out of the big 4. As you can see the stance is easy to fix :)
