aww damn that's a shame, is it only for uk registered cars then? as mine is uk spec, but then uk only had the 2+2 auto and this site lists a few more than that?

Some imports will show correctly, but the problem is the DVLA completely suck with import registration conformity. For example, I have 2x 300zx V5 documents here, 1 says Nissan Coupe and the other just says Nissan and the model part is blank. Which means neither will show up when you search for the 300zx. This is very common for Imports.

but then uk only had the 2+2 auto

I take it you mean the 2+2 TT rather than just 'auto'.

DOH!! yep sorry 2+2 tt.

A bit off topic but when I bought the zed I was the second owner, and the guy didn't like leather seats so he orderd the zed without leather seats  which is a real shame as I thought the leather was standard in uk spec tt.

I can't remember how it was worked out but the genera concensus is there are around 800 z32s left in the uk.

What is interesting is you you click the link at the bottom of the table to combine all the results..... that shows a steady decline over the period

really only 800 left in the uk ?

so getting pretty rare I had a lotus elise s1 1997 and thay are getting very rare

really only 800 left in the uk ?

I don't know where that number came from but it seems to be fairly accurate, if that mot guide is accurate +improperly recorded on thier v5 cars could feasibly be circa 7-800

And amazingly can only get 10/11 of their owners interested in taking them to Japfest next May bigeye1.gif

says there are 8532 menbers in this club is that world wide

Mmm...the active customer Zedworld data base does not tally with any of those figures, more than you would think are still around.

Now that's just a tease Jeff, any chance of a ball park figure for what you've got?

No not a tease matey,( more than 1,000+ though) the trouble with the data from MOT and other sources is the details of many, many imports are wildley inaccurate and will not come up even in a corrective search.

We do stacks of MOTs a year on imports and some of the details on the system are clearly wrong, we do try to get this updated where we can and if all MOT garages knew to do this a better picture would be available.

The best one we have had was quite recent came up as a Datsun ! and we have had Nissan ZX turbo 2.0 litre, which of course is not a 300zx !! even once had one show up as a Nissan auto coupe (Cherry) and the Cherry was in brackets as if they were not too sure when entering it, we have also seen turbo and non turbo`s swapped around.... and 5 door ?? convertible is a common mistake when it really its a targa top! really could write a book, Mmmm....

Wow 1000+, wasn't expecting that many :w00t: no reason why we can't have nearly that at the 25th anniversary.

My V5 is full of errors, it states its a 5 door coupe convertible. although the date of registration is right as a G reg unless the seatbelts have been swapped. I'll ask my mate that m.o.t's it to see if he'll update it next time.

Is that active clients jeff or registrations you've worked on? The backyard breakers are breaking it seems one a month...

Sadly your correct there Steve, we had more cars then that at simply japanese. Japfest is usually a great turnout for z32s and I wil be keeping a close eye on who is attending. Will you be attending yourself this year?

Active customers who have at least one visit to us per year, usually for service and MOT.

Agree too many zeds are been broken now for little or pointless reasons, we have been involved in recycling crashed and rotten zeds since 1999, however over the past 5 years and more so in recent years we have reduced this to a minimum for many reasons, one been the market for used parts is awash with items that have now become almost worthless and its a practice that will end up in the complete demise of the 300 zx eventually if it continues, there must be at least 15 individuals in the UK now actively buying up zeds with the sole purpose of breaking them, very sad times.
