Started to notice yesterday an odd squeak from inside the car. I've figured out it's coming from behind the small plastic grill in the centre of the roof but I've no idea what's actually causing it, all I know is it's electrical since it stops when I switch off the ignition. Does anyone know what it is, how to fix it or even what I'm talking about?

Thanks,

Daniel.

It's a little fan that tests the interior temp by moving it around a sensor. It's the bearing in that motor that's squeaking

It's part of the air con system

Or a mouse

Yup - what Tony said..... You can easily get the trim off to remove the fan, it is one complete unit inside the little vent - try lubricating it with a little WD40 to see if that helps. If not, ask one of our breaker traders if they have a replacement.

If it's only squeaking, it's not so bad - sometimes they can make a more audible rattle when they really wear!!

Thanks for the help! I had the trim off this morning but didn't know what I was looking at, I'll try WD40 but it's not too bad just an irritating squeak at the moment so see what happens

Easy to access, literally pull the map light trim, its on clips and the little black fan unit is obvious :thumbup1:
