today has been a very bad day as the z has been involved in a crash.

luckily no one else involved, but just bad circumstance road conditions for a rear wheel drive car.

Police have recovered it and its 100% a complete write off.

So my zx days are done.

have got some spare parts that if anyone needs them they are free to collect as wont be needing them anymore.

Also happily noone been hurt not even so much as a scratch.

Not got any pics tho before anyone asks for them, lol.

just a bad day overall.

So sorry to hear that wet conditions and rwd is a bad mix the main thing is no one was hurt or injured

are you giving up on zeds now like I came near to doing ?

That's rubbish news :( Always sad to see these threads but they become far more common this time of the year.

Glad you're not hurt buddy

thankyou for your replies.

unfortunately my z days will be over for the foreseeable future as although its been fantastic, id rather now start using any spare money to save for a deposit for a house.

Sorry to hear that Dave; and whilst your ZX is a write-off I am pleased that you remained unhurt. A car can be replaced - but a person cannot.

You can always get yourself another ZX in the future if you wish; and I hope you get a decent and prompt settlement from the insurance. Good luck mate,

Richard:sad:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

absolutely gutted for you mate! glad your alright though! by the way, thought id let you know those clocks turned up yesterday, thanks mate.

Sorry to hear the news Dave, after all the turmoil you went through in getting her on the road again, so glad no one was hurt and hope you manage to get sorted for your house purchase.

As above... sad news my friend but glad no one was injured....

are you buying the car back from the insurance company to get parts off to sell? Might be a way of recouping some of the money you've spent out and help towards the deposit.

just been on phone to insurance and they dont know if i can buy it back yet as it depends on the category of write off as sometimes you cant remove so much as a bolt.

they are howether going to try and have it recovered back to my home to stop anymore storage fees from adding up.

if you can do that, might be worth taking any goodies you have on it off.

your only a couple of hours away. if you need a hand then just let me know.. i dont mind coming over and helping out.

Neil

Me too mate, I'd be happy to pop down to help.

I'm glad you're okay mate. How bad was the crash?

Sorry to hear about this but the main thing is you're unhurt.....

Just get the insurance to let you you buy it back and recover as much as possible to minimise the loss....

Sorry to hear about this Dave but at least everyone is OK.

Shame about the zed though it was a great example.
