Hey guys,

Having trouble with the engine on my 94 Z.

The engine is struggling to rev properly. When accelerating it struggles to reach/go above 2500rpm. When in neutral it will reach around 4000rpm and will start to miss/splutter pretty badly anything past that. Unfortunately I had to drive the car like this 100 miles as I was away at the time.

During my drive back, the issue got steadily worse to the point where the car was struggling to hit around 1600rpm. Once the engine has cooled down, it's back to trying to get to 2500rpm.

Any ideas?

I have already tried replacing the MAF, PTU and disconnecting the TPS today with no effect.

Cheers lads!

I have had this in Lee's garage, this appears to be a headgasket failure and I'm going to need a new engine - anyone know where I could start looking for this?

post an add in the Wanted section.. you might get advice along with offers.

if you give Jeff a call or PM he might also be able to advise where you could get one.

best of luck..

Jr. and I can vouch for that too, Lee really does treat his customers like royalty. I am sure KJZ32, Ian Greenfield, Phutumch, Roobarb, Squee, Spoolmeister, Hollings, Tesco Bag and many others would agree with this too.

Well That makes two of you who treat customers well ....

At zedworld you get tea and toast !

sounds like zed specialist should be moving the tool roll cabs in the back and fitting an American sized fridge in its place...

lol, yep

No, never had any memory issues, even after what I have had to drink tonight. But I have to go to the places that I think give a very good service at the very best prices, as most of us do. Lee is a Zed guru and reasonably priced too, plus nearer to me than Zedworld, and with the price of fuel these days this is a major factor for me. The Zedworld Christmas events I attended were great, I met a lot of fellow Zeders at the Zedworld bash's including Jeff Linda and family, and I would never change that, however I was under the impression Zedworld was going to be changing hands, and having no dealings with it's new owners, I was recommended to Lee, and have never looked back. Please do not say I have memory issues.
