Car 1992 Fairlady z 3.0 non turbo auto vin number GZ32-016496

Hi I need help Car has recently developed a massive power steering leak the hose has been removed and I,m stuck trying to find a replacement there does not seem to be a part number on it and I have already had one disappointment having wrong hose sent out from states, so I now want to try make sure I get right one I will do my best to describe as I carnt post a pic. The pipe goes from the pump to the rack and looks to be in 3 sections with 2 different end bits lying the pipe flat on floor the end that attaches to pump bends to right and is about 4inch in length then meets on to main pipe which is straight but flexible running about 27 in length befor it comes to other end bit which bends right back on itself and includes the switch pressure on it and does a kind of s befor end connector of pipe. I have searched online everywhere I can think of and carn't seem to find a hose that looks the same and suggestions be greatly appreciated.

Just click the link in my post mate :)

From your description Im guessing you are after this..........................

Parts 2013 520 (Large).jpg

As your car is an grey import then I suspect that Nissan UK wont hasve this item in stock.

Probably not Nissan Europe either.

So it will be a special order from Japan.

A hose from thr US will have been for a LHD car and this part is probably L or R specific.

A call to Mike will confirm.

Be sitting down when he quotes a price.

its not quite like that but its the closest to it iv seen cheers :) I think the car has now got to the point where I need to either bin it or be prepared to spend some serious cash I think it needs sills for mot too.

Hi mate welcome to the forum. I'm based at Lossiemouth and there is another new member in the Aberdeen area, I think we are the only ones in the area. I am no mechanic but will help if I can, I can pass spanners and hold torches. :-)

Use google to find a local hydraulics company, remove the hose you need and have it rebuilt. I had my whole front steering rack lines remade. Wasn't that expensive, there are hoses thankfully very simple ones that are not longer made or sold.

its neither of those two lol the bottom one is the one I got from the states I think what z32bolt said is prob best idea I had thought about having it made looks like that might be only option.

Hi, David.... I have the diagram for the power steering pipes if that helps.... Russ

nope lol I have searched the web and carnt find nothing like it :( I think im unlucky as had a few issues getting parts for my particular car befor parts that are meant to fit don't if I knew the part numbers I be able get as Amayama in japan provide most parts for car ive looked at that one and its meant to be the pipe shaded red but when I go on to anywhere to order comes up with pipes that look nothing like mine :(

I don't suppose you have a picture of the pipe?

If not then can you get one as it helps to be able to see a pic..... Someone may recognise it....

Mine was a 1991 auto N/A...... But not looked at how mine goes....

Cheers mate thanks for the offer But the pipe is already off I put the car in for mot didn't think the leak was that bad thought was just a join that needed tightened but looks like needs a fair bit work and until just recently didn't have a garage to store car its been under a cover a decent one though but once get it back can be dry stored over winter :) I didn't think there was anyone else really up near here with 300 not really seen many about.

You can undo the flexi section and reuse the hard pipe from your old one......

It looks like the part number is 49720-30p00......

And which is clearly shown as part of the whole assembly including hard pipes that I posted earlier.

:bow::bow::slap:...... lol

I was guessing David didn't realise that the pipe he has and was looking for is made up of multiple pipes.....
