I know quite a few people on here run their own business, thinking of taking the plunge and buying an existing business. What advice do people have regarding doing the books? Is it easier to outsource or is it straight forward to learn and pretty good with numbers. Any other tips?

See iff your local cemetry has a flower seller outside the gates on a sunday. Iff not then try grab the pitch as its a goldmine on mothers and fathers day plus every sunday.

Well finance has come through but its upsetting to start spending it !

So far, laptop, ipad, signage, uniform, website names, phone line/broadband/card machine, next is display equipment. So much to do, sale and tenancy agreements to sort out as well !

Very good luck in this venture, the shop looks great and its clear to see the work and effort you have both already put into setting it all up.

 

It takes guts to pour your own hard earned money into a new business and make that commitment to an eight day week and no wages for 12 months (lol) but with true passion, determination and a sprinkle of luck your efforts will be well rewarded in achieving something that many would love to try but never area able to, good on ya!!

Wow, busy day, loads of bouquets sold, 3 deliveries and we sold out of flowers! Luckily no one wanted anything after that point, shop almost done now, just filling the last of the displays. Half done but pic below is before we started filling, have to be fair I'm a broken man :-) everything aches and I'm so tired, it's the most I've done since being ill.
