I know we have a lot of dog lovers here and I would just like to share the passing away of our wee dog Rosie. She was 15 totally deaf almost blind and a diabetic having to get insulin injections twice a day. But on Wednesday she got an infection in her pancreas and after three days on the drip we had to let her go this morning. Rest in peace Rosie.

Sorry to read this Gary mate:sad:...good old age though the poor thing.

My condolences, mate. :( It's awful to lose a member of the family. :(

So sorry for you and the family, there is something particuarly emotional when your Dog passes away, but it sounds as if the quality of life wasn't all it should be!

Let the good memories commence!

 she was a good age and sounds like she had a good life.. RIP Rosie...

Are the other dogs missing her as well?

Sad news Gary, sounds like you gave her a great life though. She may not have been so lucky had you not rescued her.

Yes Kev they dont know whats going on when we came home from the vets this morning Dawson who is our other dog was sniffing around June's handbag because Rosie's coller was in it. Plus my daughter has a dog and she is running around looking for Rosie.

So sad :( dogs are like a member or the family and what a cute dog! Our dog granger is on his last legs too, dreading it :( RIP

Gary and family, sorry to read of your news. It is always the hardest and most painful decision that comes with the package of pet ownership.

It is one we know at the beginning of the time we have with them that we will be responsible for making on their behalf at the end. If she

could, she would thank you for giving her dignity at the time she needed it most.

Remember the good times you all had with Rosie - it helps.

She was a real cutie judging by that pic Gaz.

Agree with the sentiments above, been there, done that and its fooking shit.

No dogs any longer, just cats, and we love em. Its coming to us in the future !

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

The wife and the daughter shat out and it was left to me. Must admit, when the wee assistant came into the room and shouted my name and asked if I wanted the collar ?

I held it together, but just to the car.

Just had a shufty throo my pics, and realised it was afore we had the digi camera !
