Hi Dan,

You could really go for wider rear wheels mate - either 9 or 9.5 would be fine; some folk even go wider!!

But to answer your question - based on the sizes you have, I'd go with 235/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear.... You might just get away with 265/35/18 on the rear; but I'm not so sure on only 8.5 wide....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

there rays wheels of a 350z the tyres on the wheels at the mo are 225/45/18 and rear 245/45/18 not fitted to the car yet so I take it I will have to change the tyres then

could i use them with them tyre sizes with the side wall being 45 front and rear would it be to tall

Off the top of my head I don't know what the rolling radius is of the standard OEM 300zx alloys, but since you have no TCS it shouln't affect that.

It will likely mean your speedo over reads slightly.

As for if they'll fit - put them on the car and you will soon find out.

The diference between 245/45 and 265/35 isn't very much at all as the 2nd figure is a percentage of the first.

A 245/45/18 is too big mate your speedo will be way off use an online calculator. Expect a 35/40 profile is most likely. I run 225/40/r18 upfront and 265/35/r18 at the rear, as said though you will make a ballon out of those rears. 255 is prob the limit. That's the only reason I didn't go for them, 245 just isn't enough rubber for me.

am going to use 225/40/18 on the front and 245/35/18 rear
