Julia and I took a trip to Anglesey Abbey, just outside of Cambridge, last Sunday. And what do you know, there was a Jaguar show on - so I took a few pics of the classics on display!!

Some beautiful cars on show there Richard, particularly like the E types.

Me too - always liked the E-type. I also admired the Mk2 as well - and I had my own Series 2 XJ6 (1974 model) back in the 1990s; but my favourite of the day had to be the SS - although it might have been a replica:wink:

I went to pageant of power not long ago and there were 5 xj220 :cool3:

I have a liking for the jags...i loved my 1982 XJ6 LWB i used to own and i used to get off on switching the other side fuel tank over on the move, iff i remember you had to press the bottom half of the switch and visa versa for the other tank.Great pics Richard.

Love Jags, have owned a XJ12.....Super luxury. I loved Clarkson's write up about the XJ12, "as you sink your foot into the shag pile the nose lifts to meet the horizon" Brilliant.

Cheers Dave,

And I've just realised (remembered actually) that you live in Cambs - anywhere near Lode?

Ahh not too far at all mate!

I know Huntingdon - nice place - John Major lived there didn't he; on the way to RAF Alconbury? I used to visit a client in Huntingdon, on the Blackstone Road Industrial Estate...... The guys there used to take me to lunch near the RAF base - I forget the name though:wink:

Where do you live Richard?

Great Missenden in Bucks, now Joel - about 7 miles from M40 J4.....

......However when I lived in East London some 17 years ago, I worked in Epping. So the clients I visited were around Essex, Herts and Cambs - hence my vague recollection of the area:wink:
