I am going to treat my zed, I have never had a car that responds so well to a treat. It is sat a bit dirty and my girlfriend bloody curbed it yesterday so its not very happy.

 

So ive ordered some redline mt90 gearbox oil. Ill do oil and filter too. Then clean polish and give it a tank of v power. Its the last drive arround the roads i know before i drive up to Lossiemouth on wednesday in it.

 

Ill let you know how it responds.

It will respond well with all them treats Tom. I am treating mine this weekend after my long run to JAE must put a thread up later.

Mine would love to be treated to a tank if fuel and a good thrashing.

Well it had a zedworld manual conversion about 30000 miles ago. I assume it had new oil then on what i assume was a reconned box but i dont know. Hollings may have bought someones gearbox and zedworld fitted it.

 

Its a bit of a stumble into fourth and fifth and a stiff double cluch sod into first. Fine when you work hard blipping and matching but arround town its a but metalilic.

The MT90 may help make it a bit smoother. It's top stuff for syncro's

Redline mt90 is great stuff. the last bit of gear engagement feels more cushioned, better all round. The engine is purring again with it's Valvoline 10/40semi as always and it was laboratory clean inside and out. Drove a good 80 miles of country roads, had to play a bit of cats eye banzai In the fog at times lol.

 

But when it was clear foot flat in fourth is amazing to experience, 23 years old and it pulls like an airliner taking off, smooth from idle to the redline gargling like a dragon. A happy zed is out of this world.
