Are you meaning on TV? Like on Top Gear etc?

If so, it's because of the frame rate of a camera versus LED's

isn't it a flow over from F1...

it's a thing of racing thing... (we that's what I thought anyway)...

if you wanted it you would need LEDs anyway as standard filament bulbs would blink that fast..

I already have one of these brake flasher modules on order, am going to fit it in my 3rd brake light as I have already replaced the filament bulbs in there with red T10 smd ones, so I'm hoping it'll flash and work very well.

Anything that can help alert the driver behind that is too busy texting to the fact you're braking is all the better in my book .

Wire up a quick flasher relay to your hazard lights that triggers when your abs kicks in while you're at it. I'm seeing new cars with fast hazards that kick in under heavy braking. I think it's a brilliant idea.

This correct, led aren't constantly on they are pulsing. It's like a digital signal rather than analogue.

Try this..... http://www.maplin.co.uk/led-running-light-22559..... I would use the outputs for the LED's and wire it into a LED rear brake light..... use each output from the circuit board to each LED in the brake light unit.....

Runs from 8-15v so should be okay on 12v.....

I might have a go on my saab and see what it it like.....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

So are you both saying that rear LED break lights for cars DON'T actually flash, it just looks like it on TV???

That's what Im saying with regard to when you see Fezza's and Lambo's going around the Top Gear track and the like yes.

In fact, I am pretty sure it is illegal for brake lights to flash at all. Hence why new cars use flashing hazards lights when emergency braking.

Basic explanation:

EDIT: Apparantly it's not illegal for brake lights to flash. Although I reckon it should be.
