If anyone was going to put a pair of vents into their bonnet, where do we think the best place might be to position them...?

Would they be better at the front or at the back (either side of the bulge) so as to evacuate some heat from the turbos a bit quicker?

Any thoughts?

Always nice to get a reaction!

My idea is not to have any raised vents (RS Turbo, etc) or louvres punched into the bonnet - basically, nothing that stands proud of the existing bonnet line. So any vents I had would be much more subtle than most people imagine (hopefully).

best place would be in the bin, dont think they would look right on a zed

This!!

My argument would move from the aesthetics (which I agree with the above on) to the mechanics. Nissan designers did a wonderful job in a 'sealed' engine bay, thua creating a low pressure zone drawing any heat downward and out. Unless you're obsessed with heat in the engine bay during more static activities such as RR and to a lesser extent, drag racing, then vemts are a complete waste of time. You're probably likely to introduce problems by cutting holes in the bonnet.

Hmmm. Food for thought there.

Thanks for all the input, people. :)

Be more effective iff you remove the rubber trim from the scuttle trays but loads of hassle from water ingress
