Since I've been away, I decided to man up and do something ive always wanted to do.

I passed my bike test!

Got the full licence so I can ride anything.

First off I bought a 2005 K5 Suzuki Bandit 600s. Great first bike and I wish id kept it for the winter.

I put a micron exhaust on it which sounded awesome, but I soon wanted more power and a lighter more nibble bike.

After looking at alsorts and reading hundreds of reviews, I went and bought a brand new Triumph Street Triple R.

675cc 105bhp 183kgs.

Massively faster than the bandit and much more fun to ride. Obviously ive got used to the power now and wish id gone fore the 1050cc Speed Triple R!

So, who else on here has a bike?

I was a motorcycle instructor a long time ago......lol. Had loads of bikes, my last one was a 1200 Honda Goldwing Aspencade, before that a Suzuki GSX-R 1100. Yahama XJ650 Turbo, could go on all night.....lol, another thing I miss like crazy.

Or bike"s"?

Yam 600 SRX and Muz 660 for the big thumpers

Honda 1000 CBX and more recently a Yam 250 TDR and a Trimph 600 Speed four

All country bikes are gone but had rides for decades with KTM 125 and 250, Yam IT 250 and 420 Husky

Still have above road ones, and a Benelli 750 Sei to rebuild with the 6 exhausts!!

My full licence is back...1972 :thumbup1:

My other half is a biker. He's got a ducati 996 a ducati monster and one I can never remember, Kawasaki zx or summat

Any in the Midlands go to Bassets Pole on a Tuesday night? Some nice bikes out last week.

3x Bmw HP4's!

Started on a 50 in 1980 and had some sort of bike all my life since, and been on a couple of hospital trolleys :)

2011 z1000 at the mo :)

Was into bikes in my past life...FS1E as a starter then onto the RD,s and GT suzuki,s as you do then started going big with a GS1000 and finnished my riding days with a string of GSXR,s including a home built 7/11 which i also fitted a 750 6 speed gearbox into an 1100 motor (wheelie monster). Had a short spell working at a Harley dealership when i lived in California but hated those things with a passion:no:

I have recently done my CBT and have a YBR 125. Does that count?

Good choice!

I did a full course which included the CBT. They had YBR's so the nigth after i got my cbt cirtificate, i went and bought a ybr to use for work to get expirence.

£16 a year to tax, £12 to fill the tank which would do 180 miles or so... Bargain motoring.

What year is yours?

2010. Same as you, bought it to gain experience as it was the bike I did my CBT on. Just about to go for its first mot.

Cant go wrong.

I could have sold it 10 times over too within 2 days. Go £10 less than i paid for it. And i passed everything first time. The practice must have helped.

My God, Ive had loads of bikes since posting this.

Just bought a 2016 ZX10R KRT. 220 bhp they claimed with the exhaust and power commander. It's crazy fast. Had 2 S1000RRs. A load of GSXR 1000s. 3 Street triples. A Speed master. Use them daily all year.

blimey, you've gone through a lot of bikes in that time, lol.

i got my first bike in 2011, StreetR, put 85k miles on it commuting all year round. now refreshed and blinged for the wife who passed this year.

have a 13 DaytonaR that is used for track, and racing next year.

now use a 06 Sprint for commuting. had a dabble with a Thunderbird Storm for a year, but didnt use it much.

as you can see, all Triumph, lol.

will probably be looking at a Pani 1299 next year for some summer fun, now that i get my proper adrenalin fixes on the track rather than the road, it means i enjoy road riding for what it is :)
