I've recently bought my first zed and its in pearl white. It needs the front bumper respraying at some point. It's got one of those foamy spoilers that always seem to go so that needs replacing, and the rear quarters have just started to rust. I've been told that white, especially pearl, is a bit of a fu#%er to match and have all the panels the same colour, so I'm thinking cd my funds are all in order. Get a new rear spoiler, get the arches cut out and new ones in. And maybe have 2 colours in the car, black possibly? With white pin striping. Black spoiler with the white pin, and black on the lower quarters all the way from front to back with some white pinstriping of sme kind. Maybe have 300zx written in pinstripe white?? Also need a refurb on the alloys if I decided to kee these or get another, but they could go black with white rim protectors, I just fancy something a bit fresh.

 

Let me know if its going to look crap or just want work, I'm not a car designer lol so it may just sound cool but really be a bit daft.

Right after playing around in photoshop for too long I've decided it's a crap idea lol the wheels I may have black with a white rim protectors but I'm not sure yet, but the photoshopping was terrible and I've just been looking at funkysi's pearl white zed, which has had a full spray and it looks great! In fact that's an understatement to be honest. So possibly a full re-spray :-/ ££££££ how lovely lol sorry bank manager ;-)

all the same colour always looks better i think. when i see a car with 2 colours or a chav with a black bonnet and a red car it always looks like thay have been in a crash and have been the scrap yard and got the part of a car with a different colour and are just driving it till he can get it sprayed .but am sure many want agree with me

Adam, I know I might be biased but as you drove away (first time I have seen the car as other people see it!) The pearl white and the sun glittering off the wheels was just perfect, it looked very impressive.

If I was you I would keep it pearl white and refurb the wheels in silver.

Get someone to drive the car whilst you are looking at it, then you will see what I mean :-)

Adam, It's your car, but Pearl White is a very rare colour for the Z and it is the original colour, a good detailer / spray shop will be able to match the colour. Ask them to try a panel or part of the spoiler first.

By the way the wax that I used on the car was Boora Wax which seemed to be the best for that colour.

I agree, stick with the pearl white :)

If it was me it would be all pearl white with all the lower stone guard smoothed down and painted new car mad 89 spec rear spoiler and to finish it of some new 99spec rear lights. But its your zed so do it your way mate only you can decide.

Cheers guys apologies for he late reply, spent a lot of time in the hospital as my dad has had 2 mini strokes, he's out and on the mend now so I'm dead chuffed :) I agree with sticking to the single colour and no pratting around with the black and white now. Was one of those amazing ideas I have at 3am and can't sleep lol having said that the cost of a respray would make me think about changing colour completely. Taking it all in I would either stick with pearl white, go Audi white like dicky96's or my favourite is EvoluZion3's blue :-O I love it! I obviously wouldn't do it in the same colour but I love the finish it has, is it like a candy blue? I think candy red might look cool :-P
