Remote Locking Inoperative

My remote central locking has stopped working. The lights still flash but neither door opens. I can hear a very faint noise as if the drivers door solenoid is trying to work. If I open the drivers door with the key, the passenger door opens as it should. Am I right in thinking that it's probably the drivers door solenoid that's knackered?

    No, the battery is really strong, it's not that old.

    sounds like it could be... door panel off and see unfortunately......

     

    You're probably right, I just wanted to be able to take it apart and fix it without having to wait for parts!
