cheers vody do i have to swap them back for the mot and will i loose the 02 sensors my mongoose is the twin tail pie 1 bud

My na passed emissions with Japspeed decats fitted.

The O2 sensors are on the back of the manifolds so they remain in place.

what year is your car? also the O2's are on the manifold (N/A) and turbo elbows (TT) so nope, no loosing O2 sensors.

Hi Bob, does your car have the AIV system fitted ? if so you will need to remove the associated pipework, you will also need to to chop of the cat temp sensor wires and blank them off, you also need to ensure that you have new gaskets , if you are stuck drop me a text .

cheers

I have Mongoose catback with Japspeed downpipes, I have just left the pipework for the AIV's in place from the point of where the flexible pipe connects.

As for the MOT, you will find that the 300zx does not appear on the database and therefore does not qualify for a cat test.

You will/should be put through a Best Emission Test, BET for short, of which it will fail and from there you will be tested for emissions for below 3.5% Co.

Mine passes each time at around 2.5% Co

So long as your car is in good order, you should be fine I would of thought.

Unless you car is late 95 or newer, then it has to be tested a catalytic converted equipped car. Pre-95 your fine, as explained by redwine300.

Nice one Yowser, I did not realise that the car had to be pre 95 to avoid the cat test. Good info.

If it is an import though, you may fine like mine it is registered on the V5 as 3.0 Coupe

Seeing as there are is no data for that model there is nothing to compare the results to
