Andy,

That can't be a Z in your Avatar, the headlights are brighter than any of mine!!

:D

Mark

That's what it will look like when I stick a Bellof HID conversion in!

ill record it for the web, need a place to host it.

Oh and My father just put a deposit on a 350 zed today :D

They are on sale in SA later this year.

i now have an excuse to go home :D

.... and you managed to slag off Audi TT's a few times !!! LOL :D

good show that one, i retract my vote for top gear, 5th gear has my vote now. Tiff rocks, great review of the car, nice bit of arse-out action going on there too hehe ;). "you're getting almost 911 performace for half the price", cant go wrong really can you :)

Still cant decide if I love it or hate it! The first time I saw a Z32 I loved it! Game Over!

New Z is rather nice I have to admit!

Tiff rocks??? Hmmmm, not in the same league as Jerome but yeah he is good. Hey he wiped Nigel Mansell out in TOCA so fair play to him! LMFAO :D

Clarkey....don't worry about him.....he's going to the motorshow with us this weekend and a few pints of lager down his Aled Jones throat will sort him out! ROFL :D

Clarkey San...you don't realise what you've let yourself in for bud!!!! :D :D

Saw it too! Nice one. (well, the last 5 mins, at least, last minute errand to the chip shop for the furher ... arse!) Any complete video on-line would be much appreciated. How about "Dunc@bagpuss-whatsit" to host?

"Nothing else to compare for the money" ... says it all, really.

Forget about the comparisons with the hairdresser's TT, this is a serious sports car. According to the Nissan UK website, we've only a year to wait until it launches here. I'm nipping in to Nissan in Sidcup on Wednesday for the bargain "B" service .. will extend feelers about a waiting list (I want one ... too many miles going on my baby with everday use at present; the future spells weekends only). I'll report back any info I can get. :D :D

CheerZ,

John.

Tiff seemed quite happy that a 350Z will be around 27k here and starts at around 17.5k in the States. What's the justification for that?

Aren't Top Gear/Fifth Gear supposed to be campaigning against the excessive car prices in this country?

Shame about the cheap plastic bits inside, the rest of it was great.

Dave, agreed ... it was a bit of a shocker to hear we'd be paying an extra 10k, however, I suspect a couple of factors are to blame here:

- I would hazard a guess that we're only going to be getting the fully loaded version of the 350 here (think it's the "ST"), much like they did with Z32, versus the many versions available elsewhere. The US I suspect would be getting the "entry-level" version for their 17.5k.

- I guess it's also got something to do with out tax laws, rather than just a deliberate policy by Nissan to persecute the UK. However, since I don't really know much about this, I'm happy to be corrected

I think the main thing is that they have actually decided to bring it here, for which, I'm grateful (not to mention surprised) ...

Still a bitter pill to swallow, whatever the reason, to know that we have to pay through the nose for our motors here, still!

CheerZ,

John.

Yeah, nice motor, lots of styling cues from the Z but overall looks too much like a Porker for my liking.

Looking forward to Miss Visible Butt-Hole in a skirt next week!:D

CheerZ,

John.

Well it cost the equivelent of 21,250.00 in South Africa, and thats for a full spec version.

(well thats what my pa just paid lol)

Its rip off Britain here thats all.

no one find it wierd that in Autocar about a month or so ago, old Tiff was saying why bother with the 350\? just go get a z32?

lol

The reason the Z is so cheap in the US is because they will sell so many of them there in left hand drive spec.

In comparison, the UK market will be very small and even the entire right hand drive market of Japan,UK,SA,Australia etc, will only make up a small proportion of all the cars sold.

They are still going to be far cheaper than the Z32 was in it's day.Plus, just think how relatively cheap these cars will be in a few years on the second hand market.

Don't forget you can't really make a direct comparison between a Z and a ZX. With the 350, they've gone back to much more of a sports car (a la 240Z/260Z) rather than a GT like the ZX.

But don't forget that the Z32 in 2 seater form was more of a sports car than the 2+2 GT version.(lighter weight/sharper handling)And has more in common with the 350Z than might appear.

The UK never seemed to get the sportier versions of the Z car during the 1980s and 1990s.(i.e. 2 seat turbo 280zx/2 seat turbo300zx/2 seat TT and NA Z32)

Only trouble is, even if I could afford a 350Z, I would need it as a 2+2 to take the family out!;)

JEZ

I see Charlesworths in Nottingham have three 350Zs for sale in different specs.from £29995.

Good spot!

Looks a little dear, given that a 12 month wait may yield a cheaper UK-spec (whatever that's gonna be) one.

Have submitted a request for more info nonetheless. It's gotta be worth a look, especially if they really are "in stock".

CheerZ,

John.
