I've been to two shows in the last couple of weeks - Thoresby Classic Car show at the end of June and Cars In The Park in Lichfield this weekend just gone - and I was the only Zed present at both of them! :(

Granted, that meant that my motor ended up getting a lot of attention, but still... we need to be promoting our cars far more! There's some frankly beautiful machines in this club and they'd be stealing shows left, right and centre.

Let your flags fly, people!! :euro:

Yes get your zeds on show they don't have to be absolute show cars just being there with your 300 is enough to get people asking about your car. I was at a show on Sunday with around six hundred cars from all over

Ireland and I had the only 300zx there so lots of attention and publicity for the club. Pics later.

I can concur with Gary, my zed has been in primer for the last 3 years and still get looks and questions, the main one being " what is it" lol

So no excuse unless you have no engine

How about hole in floor and no engine.....lol

If it was on the road I would be at as many as possible.....

I would even drive someone else's just to go......

But nobody I know has one anymore.......:crying:

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Now you are being pedantic lol, obviously there are a many reasons that alot of us cant get to some meets for whatever reason, i was just affirming that your car doesnt need to be mint or in show car condition to attend

My car's far from mint (sadly) but she still drew the crowds. I was just really surprised that I was the only only at either show!

Thought that would of been 'when the flipping heck are you going to get it sprayed?' and your reply 'well definitely for next years JAE'.

I was counting down the minutes when you would reply Andy

I forgot to mention that people do also say, " what colour is it going to be" lol

I am endeavoring to get it sprayed for JAE, but i have had to get the drive done and ordered a drop kerb cos we have some nice double yellow lines coming my way, so can kiss goodbye to a grand before i can move forward on the zed :glare:

Sprayed or not its still going to JAE and if its not, im already prepared to have the mickey taken

I've been banging on about this for a little while now. There is only one way to change this sad fact, get out there. The amount of people that turn up to stuff is rubbish! I know all the excuses I use some myself, no money for example , but that doesn't stop you from doing local things. Choose to go to the pub one less day of the week and drive the car, you won't regret it.

My car at RPM yesterday at billing, if there was an award for car that drew the biggest gathering of people round it, mine most likely would of won.

There was a hell of a lot of shows on over the weekend, what with japfest, santapod, F1 on tv, billing, RGS, and other events. but as said before, Getting people to attend is the main area things have always seen trouble in. Japfest is always a big zed drawer and so is JAE.

Japshow, although was a regular fixture on our calender a while ago, has only been revived again since last year, we had a good turn out then, but not so much this year due to people pulling out at the last min.

I dont have the best paint, i dont have the best interior and my alloys are in heavy need of a refurb, my engine isnt as shiny as it once was either, but i still go.
