Hi I'm new too the site and was recommended to these forums to ask you guys for tips and advice on things to check on imports. The car is new to the UK and I have been warned of rust. More help would be greatly appreciated.

I currently drive a Focus ST2 and I'm part of the Focus ST OC.

Hopefully be owner of 300zx soon unless I'm scared away.

Honest pro's and con's be great as well.

If it's new to the UK it should be a rust free example. Mine is a 1989, been in UK since 2007 and is still rust free. Check sills, especially if there are side skirts on it,front and rear wheel arches too. Is it a TT or NA?

Thank you, I love my Zed....lol. Right the one you have seen is a twin turbo model. Do you have any pics of it or a link to where it is for sale at all? I am sure one of our members near to you would give it the once over with you to help you check it. Lots of help and advice on here.

Mine is a NA, which are slower than a TT, but doesn't have the problems associated with the turbos that cars of this age can suffer from, however I believe the TT to be fun to drive and a great rush.....lol. The NA is no slouch though with around 222 BHP from factory, but all cars suffer loss of BHP the older they get, so the 300 BHP from a TT will be reduced if it is standard with no mods at all, as will the NA.
